Stockholm City Ambience Sound Library

Having used random ambiences for my Swedish learning podcast Say it in Swedish for over a decade, I finally wanted some genuine Swedish environments for my dialogs.

For two days in fall of 2024 I went around different spots in Stockholm and recorded to me well-known soundscapes: the whining and rumble of the Stockholm subway, the busy traffic around the city center, pedestrians speaking Swedish, the fast clicking sound of pedestrian crossings.

The results is this library of sounds that capture the essence of Sweden's biggest city, ready to be used as the backdrop of a scene in a movie, video montage, or audio book.

And instead of just having them sit on a harddrive to be used once in a blue moon, I wanted to share the recordings with others who would want ambiences and walla that sound Swedish, Scandinavian or European.
