The infamous Berlin-Brandenburg airport, opened 9 years behind schedule, is Europe's new-ish hub for air travel. The huge check-in area creates a distinct reverberating sound, resembling a cathedral, packed with excited and tired travelers and the clacking sound of rolling luggage.
I was actually there in 2012, when it should've been finished. They opened the premises to the public just for one day.
